Le Tour de Langkawi was one of the main annual events in Malaysia, a multiple stage bicycle race which is on international level where it’s attracts a good number of top pro teams and tourists from overseas. Held since 1996, This event that conceived by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to promote Malaysia to the world, thus helping the nation tourism sector become more flourish.

This year, the race starts from Kuala Lumpur at Petronas Twin Tower, KLCC on 6th April and will end on 13th April at Langkawi Island (Pekan Kuah). Like the previous edition of the event, some of the main roads at 13 different locations around West Coast of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan etc) will be closed / detours for public during the event  as a few of them will be used as a route for the cycling race.

However, not all the tourist and traveller come to Malaysia for the event where some of them might want to visit other tourist spots around the event stage. So this event more or less might affect their travel time because of the road detours and closure.

Fortunately, we got you covered as we already got the full schedule of which road that will be affected (for detours) plus the time (duration) it will be closed. So you can plan your driving/travel better and avoid unnecessary waiting time on the road. Cheers!

We also advised you to follow the traffic signs, instructions and directions from the police or local authorities to ensure your safety during your travel.
